Hi everyone! I am a recent graduate from the University of St Andrews in Scotland with an honors degree in Social Anthropology and Modern Languages (Arabic and Russian). I love learning new languages and helping others achieve their linguistic goals! I am a native English and French speaker, fluent in Spanish and continuing my studies in Arabic and Russian. Through my linguistic journey, I experienced firsthand the ups and downs of learning a language and how it can be overwhelming at times. Fortunately, I had incredible teachers along the way and I aspire to bring the same passion and fun into my own tutoring sessions!

During my high school years, I tutored 2 kids (ages 6 and 9) during their academic school year through Reading Partners North Texas, a non-profit organization in Dallas supporting young students in reading with 1-on-1 tutoring. I also volunteered for 3 years in a classroom setting to help teach ESL to adult refugees. More recently, I tutored a student (age 6) in basic French using my own teaching materials. Through these experiences, I have seen different learning styles and have adapted my teaching methods depending on the student’s level, age and personality. As a basis, I try to engage with students in a way that is fun for them, instilling a passion and curiosity for learning more about the subject at hand. My teaching methods range from interactive games, fun books and memorable song suggestions to lesson presentation slides, useful exercises and anything in between that best helps students and their needs.

I can also help with standardized tests as I scored perfect scores of 5 in AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP Spanish Literature and Culture as well as AP French Language and Culture.
