Hello! I'm Puneetha, a current medical student (MS2) at UT Southwestern (Dallas, TX) and Rice University alum, where I majored in Neuroscience (pre-medical track, Magna Cum Laude, 3.96 GPA). I offer college counseling, pre-medical advising, medical school application assistance, and interview preparation. I also provide SAT tutoring (1580/1600) and high school and college STEM tutoring, including Organic Chemistry 1 &2 and Biochemistry 1.
With 5–10 years of tutoring experience, I love helping students reach their full potential. My teaching journey started as a Master Teacher for the nonprofit iEducate, where I co-taught elementary students in math, science, and robotics. At Rice, I served as a Biochemistry 1 TA and a Peer Academic Advisor, mentoring pre-med students.
Beyond academics, during my time at Rice, I’ve earned recognition as a Phi Beta Kappa inductee, a Trustee Distinguished Scholar (a merit-based tuition scholarship), a Century Scholar (research tuition scholarship), and a Loewenstern Fellow (a fully funded international research trip).
I’m a published author (7 publications) with research experience at the University of Oxford through Rice’s fully funded Wagoner Foreign Study Scholarship. I’ve also conducted research at MD Anderson, Baylor College of Medicine, Rice’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research (as a Community Bridges Fellow), and the Baker Institute for Public Policy. Civically, I served as Founder, President of a mental-health focused organization, and served as Director for Rice’s Student Association’s Wellbeing Commission.
At UTSW, in addition to being engaged in research, I serve as an Executive Board member of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Interest Group and the No One Dies Alone student organizations.
I look forward to working with you or your child! I provide fast responses, and please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule an appointment!
