A Graduate from the University of North Texas with a degree in History and Anthropology with a minor in Art History that can teach a variety of topics within the core subjects of history, anthropology and English to different level of students. I enjoy finding ways to work with students and teaching in non traditional settings outside of the classroom. I nannied throughout my college education, spent a good chunk of time as a substitute teacher and worked in a learning/ therapy center for children with autism. I have a vast amount of experience with different kinds of learners and at different levels. I am familiar with school requirements and different techniques to help different students learn and remember material that is being taught. Learning should be fun and enjoyable, that is always my goal with every student I work with.
I have a degree in Anthropology and am familiar with basic and advanced anthropological theories that are used to teach core subjects in schools and also needed to understand complex societal issues and concepts. I have led study groups for many different topics in my anthropology career such as Anthropological Theory, Gender Studies and Study of Indigenous Peoples. Not only did I need to be familiar with English techniques, rules and concepts to get through my academic career, I also am familiar with pedagogical strategies needed to teach English. For my teaching certification, I am certified to teach English to middle school and high school learners.

My whole career has revolved around being an educator, which is why I have a wide variety of experience in different areas of education.
