Hello, my name is Giselle! I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's in Spanish and Psychology, and recently graduated from medical school! I have about 3 years of combined experience in tutoring. I really enjoyed tutoring middle school students on algebra and writing during college, and I also enjoyed tutoring a high school student in Spanish during my gap year before coming to medical school. I believe that being tutored provides a unique opportunity for a student to identify what their learning goals are and comfortably and freely work through these goals with someone that they trust. I couldn't have reached my educational goals without those who have tutored and mentored me throughout the years, thus I am excited to be able to offer the knowledge I've gained to help others.
As a medical student, I took rigorous classes on many organ systems throughout the human body that demonstrate that I have a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and other basic science disciplines.
During college, I was fortunate to obtain an MCAT score at the 92nd percentile after studying and practicing diligently for about 6 months while being enrolled full-time. I am eager to provide MCAT tutoring support that maximizes the outcomes for students preparing for the MCAT by prioritizing content review and practice during tutoring sessions.
My goals as a tutor are for students to gain the most knowledge and skills possible in order to feel confident on test day or real-life challenges. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss your goals and/or schedule a lesson. Thank you and best of luck!
