I am currently a 6th-Grade Inclusion Humanities teacher in NW, DC. Our entire curriculum is common core aligned. We also give students several opportunities to practice standards in order to accomplish mastery. I co-teach in a General Education classroom, in order to give students with Special Needs the ability to learn in a natural environment.

I will receive my Masters in Special Education and Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis in the Spring of 2016. I provided in-home behavior therapy for children ages 5-15 that were on the autism spectrum for 3+ years. I was also an in-school Behavior Specialist for 2 years. I am also a Special Educator at a Middle School in NW, DC.

I am currently a 6th Grade Humanities Teacher, and we are fully Common Core aligned. I am familiar with the standards for both math and english, and have the ability to prepare students for spring testing using this model. Common Core is mind-provoking, and with the proper instruction students will be engaged and successful with this new model of instruction and curriculum.

I am currently a 6th grade Humanities teacher. I help students with reading and writing. I have also tutored students k-6th in math, science and history. I am qualified to teach this age group as it takes patience and creativity to provide a genuine and memorable learning experience for students in this age group. I am also unique in that I use disguised learning to master concepts.

I currently teach a leveled literacy intervention program a the school that I work for. I work with a small group of 5th and 6th graders who are reading on a third grade level. They all struggle with phonics, so this is the core of our program.
