I bring more than 30 years of teaching experience, supported by degrees in English, History, and Library Science. I tutor English and language arts, writing, literature, art history, civics, geography, and history, and I also help high school and college students with college application essays, research papers, and exam review. Whether a student needs extra support, clearer explanations, or help staying organized, lessons are fully personalized.
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and focused on student success. I begin by identifying how each student learns best, then break complex concepts into manageable steps, offer guided practice, and build toward independence. I offer a free consultation to discuss goals and ensure a good fit. A 24hour cancellation notice is required, and all tutoring policies are provided by email before lessons begin. Students are encouraged to come prepared with assignments, notes, or questions to make each session productive.
