After I finished my U.S. Navy contract, I studied English at University of Dallas on the G.I. Bill. While I was at U Dallas, I played 4 seasons of NCAA Lacrosse and was a 2-time team captain. I have coached athletes of all ages, from Kindergarten to college; any kid I've coached would say that I'm always teaching new vocabulary words, talking about topics and relating them to what they are learning in school.

I write constantly, either about sports, or music, or philosophy. I am curious about all things, and I hope to pass along that curiosity to the students I work with. My goal is not to 'make learning fun,' but to show students how fun learning actually is! Acquiring information, observing connections, and forming opinions about things is what makes life interesting!
