Hello students and Parents,

I want to let you know where and how I got my experience in math, and why I love to tutor algebra. I currently teach Precalculus and Geometry, and I have taught Algebra 1 and 2, and helped hundreds of students with college algebra. I began tutoring all levels of math at my local College in 2005, helping student with remedial algebra, college algebra and calculus. My passion is one-on-one tutoring with students. Hello students and Parents,

I want to let you know where and how I got my experience in math, and why I love to tutor algebra. I currently teach Precalculus and Geometry, and I have taught Algebra 1 and 2, and helped hundreds of students with college algebra. I began tutoring all levels of math at my local College in 2005, helping student with remedial algebra, college algebra and calculus. My passion is one-on-one tutoring with students. That personal touch is key for students to ask questions and focus on where they need the most help, which ultimately is going to build their confidence and math skills, I have also taught remedial algebra Classes for 5 years at a local College before moving to a different town. In 2012 I graduated from TAMUCC magna cum laude with a degree focused on education, and immediately started teaching Honors Algebra 2 at a High School. I have taught precalculus, honors algebra 1, honors algebra 2 and Geometry. I am certified in Middle and High School math.
I have 12 years teaching in different schools and have always had great scores when my students have taken tests. My students have ranged from 6th grade all the way up to Juniors, occasionally even a senior. This has given me the flexibility of working with different age levels quite comfortably. Plus, one of my strengths is to break down math concepts and make them simpler to understand. I love to connect math to real world examples as this is a visual representation for the student and can be extremely helpful.

I am available most evenings and on the weekends. I am a warm and encouraging teacher that can explain math in an easy-to-understand format. Ultimately mastering the math concepts and being comfortable with the subject while helping students excel in school is the goal of tutoring.

Algebra 1 is one of my favorite subjects to teach and tutor, Having taught Algebra 1 in the classroom and worked with students one-on-one, I am able to break down complex concepts into simple to understand steps. My students gain confidence as they learn to solve equations, graph functions and apply algebraic thinking to real world problems.

Geometry helps students develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. As a Geometry Teacher and tutor, I make concepts such as proofs, angles, triangles, circles and transformations easier to understand. I guide students step by step while building confidence and mathematical reasoning. My goal is to help every student succeed and enjoy the learning process.

Patricia is truly amazing. As someone who hadn't taken a math class in over 10 years, I was incredibly nervous, but her patience, kindness, and ability to explain concepts in a way that was easy to understand helped me build both my skills and confidence. Explains concepts understandably

Patricia helped my daughter within a couple of days of her final exams in college Pre-Calc. She explained concepts so my daughter could understand them and really helped her to learn areas she was struggling with. Excellent tutor- highly recommend!

This was our second session and it went really well. Patricia did a great job explaining the problems step-by-step and showed multiple methods for solving them, which really helped solidify my daughter's understanding of the concepts. She also wrote out corrections for the problems my daughter missed, which will be useful for her to review before her next test. We're looking forward to continuing to work with her.
