I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences. My academic training includes extensive coursework in biology, life sciences, and scientific reasoning, which provides a strong foundation for tutoring science and related math skills at the elementary and middle school levels. I began working with students in academic tutoring and educational support settings several years ago and currently work as a middle school science educator. I teach 6th-grade science, delivering standards-aligned instruction in life science and Earth science topics.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have provided one-on-one and small-group tutoring in science and math. My tutoring experience includes supporting students who are below grade level, reinforcing foundational skills, and helping students build confidence through structured, step-by-step instruction.
My approach emphasizes clarity, structure, and active participation. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps, use visuals and real-world examples, and regularly check for understanding through questioning and guided practice. I prioritize student explanation and discussion to ensure true understanding rather than memorization. I have worked with students ranging from elementary school through middle school, primarily ages 6–13. My experience spans multiple instructional contexts, including full classroom instruction, small-group academic intervention, one-on-one tutoring, and volunteer and community-based educational support.
