What qualifies me the most to teach and tutor is that I'm a father, and while my daughter Carly never needed any assistance with her English papers or art homework, she did need some assistance from her old man when it came to math and public speaking. She still uses what I taught her and it is more important now than ever, since she is a Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas while completing her Master's degree.

My second qualification is that I built a logistics business entirely over the phone. Back in the late 1990's and early 2000's, people and businesses still answered their phones and talked to one another. I built a successful business over the phone, cold calling. And, while it isn't considered public speaking, that takes enormous courage and the ability to leave another human being with the sense that you are who you say you are - confident, authentic, declarative speaking that gets you noticed.

I have eight years experience in leading seminars to thousands of participants in seminars dealing with money, productivity, communication, expanding careers, and healing relationships. The environment of the seminars is one of coaching versus teaching, Socratic dialogue versus lecture, creating openings for action versus getting answers.

I speak and coach from the most fundamental aspects of public speaking - being powerful yet brief, powerful introductions and creating rapport, knowing when you’ve lost the room and recovering the room, having what you say make a contribution, using humor effectively, etc.
