Such an Amazing Korean Tutor
As someone who really wanted to become more fluent in Korean over the summer, I wanted to find a Korean tutor that I can work with for the whole summer. Out of the several different teachers that I tried out, teacher Joohyun Kang was truly the best. Her lessons are extremely organized, and she makes sure that the student learns all aspects of Korean including speaking, writing, and reading. She even caters towards the student's preferences, for I told her that I wanted to improve my speaking the most, but still improve on all of the aspects. So she set up her lessons where I can focus on my speaking while still improve on the other aspects. Also, the resources that she has and gives is so beneficial for students of all levels. Throughout the summer, my Korean has improved a lot only because of teacher Joohyun Kang, and I am so appreciative of her wonderful teachings. I would recommend her to literally anyone with any level of Korean, for she is able to teach ranging from the very basics of Korean to the much more advanced words and grammar rules in the Korean language. Also, teacher Joohyun Kang makes the lessons very fun and interactive, allowing any student to learn a lot from her lessons.

The Best Korean Tutor!
I was a bit hesitant about pursuing Korean tutoring as I usually like to study things at my own pace, but now I regret not starting with Joo sooner! I initially asked for homework assignments to help structure progress and give something to benchmark against, and kind of push my comfort zone, and Joo has given very targeted and thorough assignments each week which correlate exactly with what we covered in the classes. Beyond take home assignments, her lessons are very structured and she adapts her Korean/English speaking mix to your level of understanding... And usually starts and ends each lesson with a little conversation in Korean. Beyond all that she simply has a great demanor and attitude and is always positive and puts 100% into her work to ensure you get the most out of the lessons. If you're hesitant, but really want to accelerate your Korean learning, I recommend just trying a lesson!

Excellent tutor with great teaching technique and attitude
Joo is very methodical and has a good plan for teaching me Korean with an in-depth understanding both of the subject material and the pedagogical techniques for getting her knowledge across to me. She also has a great attiture and never gets flustered, she is always upbeat and positive and is very pleasant to work with but still manages to get a lot of progress out of every lesson.

Disciplined Approach and a Great Teacher
Teacher Joo Si has deep knowledge on Korean teaching from basics to actual conversations. She is very methodical in her approach and focuses on the pronunciation, writing and learning Hangul the right way. I have already had few sessions and now can read, write and pronounce Korean well. Learning any language is a marathon and the teacher caters to my learning ability and exhibits a lot patience to ensure I learn the basics well. Thank a lot and appreciate all your sincere efforts to help me learn Korean.

Joo is fantastic and very kind and patient! I appreciated her encouraging words and how she had prepared what we were going to do during our lesson. My first lesson was to determine my placement level so she had a better understanding of what my skills and abilities are. She showed me what books we would use and where my worksheets/homework would be found. Highly recommend! 고마워요 선생님!
