I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at the University of Texas at Austin, where I also currently teach "Intro to Government." My journey in academia and my passion for learning began at the Texas Academy of Mathematics & Science, where I accelerated through high school and enrolled at the University of North Texas at the age of 15. Since then, I have earned a B.S. in Biology from Texas A&M University and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

My academic research has been presented at prestigious conferences, including the Midwest Political Science Association, Southern Political Science Association, the University of Texas at Austin, and The Paris Institute of Political Studies in Paris, France. Along my academic path, I have engaged with a diverse array of graduate-level courses spanning Statistics, Biology, Mathematics, Government, Psychology, Political Science, and Legal Studies. Additionally, I have amassed extensive experience as both a tutor and teaching assistant in these subjects.

Teaching is more than just my profession; it's my passion. I am dedicated to helping my students excel and fostering a love for learning in all of them. Furthermore, I am eager to offer guidance not only in tutoring within the aforementioned subjects but also in providing mentorship on navigating the path to graduate school, including application strategies and success strategies.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have extensive experience teaching and applying algebra across academic and applied settings, including linear equations, systems of equations, functions, inequalities, and exponents. My background in advanced mathematics, statistics, and econometrics requires daily use of algebraic reasoning and problem-solving. I focus on helping students build strong foundational skills while understanding why algebraic methods work, not just how to apply formulas. My approach emphasizes clarity, step-by-step reasoning, and confidence in solving new and unfamiliar problems independently.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have extensive experience with Algebra II topics, including quadratic functions, polynomials, rational and exponential functions, logarithms, systems of equations, and sequences. My background in advanced mathematics, statistics, and econometrics builds directly on Algebra II concepts, which I use regularly in applied and theoretical work. I help students strengthen both procedural skills and conceptual understanding so they can recognize patterns and solve problems confidently. My teaching style is clear, structured, and focused on building long-term mastery rather than short-term memorization.
American History

American History

I'm currently a PhD Student in Political science who has taught multiple courses on Constitutional Studies, African-American Studies, and American history over the past 7+ years. My specific focus/specialty is 19th-20th Century U.S. History.
Biology

Biology

I have extensive experience with core Biology topics, including cell structure and function, genetics, metabolism, evolution, and physiology. I have worked in Developmental Biology, Neuroscience, and Computational Biology laboratories since the age of 16, gaining early and sustained exposure to experimental research and data-driven biological analysis. My academic background emphasizes understanding biological systems, experimental design, and interpretation of scientific results. My teaching style is clear, structured, and focused on building deep conceptual understanding rather than short-term memorization.
Calculus

Calculus

I have a strong academic background in Calculus I, including limits, continuity, derivatives, applications of differentiation, and introductory integrals. My training in advanced mathematics, statistics, and econometrics builds directly on calculus and includes extensive use of calculus-based modeling and analytical reasoning. I have applied calculus regularly in both theoretical and applied contexts, including coursework and research involving quantitative analysis. I focus on helping students develop a deep conceptual understanding of calculus, alongside strong procedural skills, by breaking down complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations and reinforcing learning through targeted practice and assessment.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I have already had experience teaching younger children for volunteer service at my current school. I have a good background in math and I am certain I would be able to portray some of the more difficult subject matter that students struggle with in a comprehendible way.
Government & Politics

Government & Politics

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science at UT Austin specializing in American Politics. My research looks at political behavior and political psychology. I've taken multiple graduate courses on politics including but not limited to Congress, Institutions, the Presidency, and Campaigns & Elections.
Macroeconomics

Macroeconomics

For context, I’m a PhD candidate at UT Austin with a strong background in econometrics, statistical methods, and applied economic modeling. I’ve taken graduate-level courses in econometrics, time series analysis, and advanced statistical methods, and I regularly work with the kinds of models and concepts used in financial and behavioral economics. My tutoring approach focuses on building intuition alongside technical proficiency: working through problems step by step, clarifying assumptions, and making sure you feel confident applying the methods independently on exams and assignments. I offer a 30-minute introductory session that’s free if you don’t feel it’s a good fit. If you decide to continue, my rate is $85 per hour for online sessions and $105 per hour for in-person sessions.
Microeconomics

Microeconomics

For context, I’m a PhD candidate at UT Austin with a strong background in econometrics, statistical methods, and applied economic modeling. I’ve taken graduate-level statistics and econometrics, and I’m very comfortable with the tools commonly used in financial economics (probability, optimization, regression, time series, and intuition behind the math). My goal in tutoring is not just to solve problems, but to help you understand why the methods work so you can handle new questions confidently on exams. I offer a 30-minute introductory session that’s free if you don’t feel it’s a good fit. If you decide to continue, my rate is $85 per hour for online sessions.
