Hi! I’m a Texas A&M engineering student with a strong background in math and standardized testing. I earned a 1470 on the SAT, including a 790 SAT Math score, and completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in high school. I’m comfortable helping students with SAT Math, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, elementary and middle school math, homework support, and general test preparation. Because I recently went through many of these classes and exams myself, I understand the types of problems students commonly struggle with and how frustrating it can be when an explanation does not immediately make sense.
My tutoring approach is focused on breaking difficult problems into smaller, understandable steps and helping students understand why a method works rather than simply memorizing formulas. I try to identify exactly where a student is getting stuck, explain the concept in a different way when needed, and then work through similar problems until they can solve them independently. I aim to create a patient and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their problem-solving skills.
