I'm Griffyn! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with my B.S. in Electrical Engineering and I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Computer Engineering here. My coursework and research background are heavily math driven, including advanced calculus and differential equations. I scored a 1580/1600 on my first SAT attempt and received National Merit Status on the PSAT, earning me a full ride scholarship at Texas A&M. I love using these skills and experience to help other students...
I love using these skills and experience to help other students in these areas of math and standardized test preparation. I am open to working with students of all ages and levels! I am also qualified to help with electrical/computer engineering coursework and programming.
My previous teaching experience includes tutoring middle school and elementary students in math and STAAR test preparation during my senior year of high school one-on-one. Currently, as a graduate student researcher, I mentor undergraduate students in my lab in a group setting, helping them understand technical concepts and build strong problem-solving skills. Through both experiences, I’ve worked with a range of ages and learning styles and have learned how to adjust explanations and pacing based on each student’s needs.
My tutoring approach focuses on clear explanations, guided practice, and lots of worked examples. I’ve found that students learn best by actively solving problems, so I come prepared with additional examples and practice beyond the student’s existing materials. I’m adaptable in my teaching style and happy to tailor sessions to what helps each student learn most effectively. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
