I am a current PhD student studying Ecology and Conservation Biology. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Science. I am a current PhD student studying Ecology and Conservation Biology. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Science. During my time in undergraduate, I tutored students one on one for classes I had taken previously including general biology subjects such as cell and molecular biology, organismal and ecological biology, as well as upper-level courses like genetics. Now in graduate school, I have a year and a half of experience leading laboratory sections for two specimen labs, where students learn how to identify different vertebrates and their taxonomy. While my experience is primarily at the college-level, I am happy to help with high school as well! I have informal experience in this area, helping friends during my own schooling and my sister during hers.
In addition, I have 1 year of experience as an executive function coach for a student with ADHD. I pride myself on adapting my methods to student needs, especially regarding neurodivergence and other access needs.
I prefer a student-led tutoring experience: I am here to support you in your learning, but ultimately you are in charge. I hope to get you excited about studying biology!
