With 37 years of experience spanning the military, federal law enforcement, and global corporate security, I bring a unique, real-world perspective to the classroom. My career has been defined by a commitment to public and employee safety, having served as a Special Agent with the FBI before transitioning into executive leadership roles such as Security Director for Enron and Assistant Global Security Director for General Electric Energy. Most recently, I oversaw safety and crisis management for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, managing one of the largest annual events in North America. These roles have provided me with an unparalleled depth of knowledge in crisis management planning, incident response, and strategic security operations.

In addition to my field experience, I am deeply rooted in academia. As the former Executive Director and Adjunct Professor for the University of Houston’s Master of Security Management program, I have spent years mentoring the next generation of security professionals. I hold a Master’s Degree in Security Management from the University of Houston-Downtown and maintain active memberships in leading professional organizations, including ASIS, the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, and SHRM. This combination of academic rigor and high-stakes practical experience allows me to provide students with training and resources that are truly world-class.
My tutoring approach is grounded in mentorship and the practical application of complex concepts. Whether I am working with graduate students on risk management or mentoring youth in my local community, my goal is to provide actionable insights that go beyond the textbook. I am passionate about supporting the development of my students and ensuring they have the tools necessary to excel in the evolving landscape of security and crisis management.
