I have been the Dean of the Graduate School at the US Army Medical Center of Excellence located at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, TX and retired recently as a Colonel from the Army Medical Specialist Corps. I supervised and led several entry-level and post doctorate allied health programs in PT, OT, PA, healthcare administration, social work, nutrition, and anatomy/physiology. I am a proud Army physical therapist and previously the program director for the Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy. The Army's new Holistic Health and Fitness Program has been inspired by the research work and people trained in our graduate school.
As a physical therapist, I've cared for thousands of Soldiers and family members here in the US and other areas around the world. Patient-centered care is important as is the integration of evidence and innovation into all aspects of healthcare. After earning a PhD in education & kinesiology in 2011, I've been a faculty member training physical therapists since then. My research work has been in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging, physical screening, and exercise interventions in conditions such as low back pain and chronic ankle instability. I have additional interests in researching graduate school admissions processes and value opportunities to mentor excellent graduate students.
I earned a PhD in kinesiology and education from the University of Virginia and have over 25 years of experience as an Army Physical Therapist. I have taken courses in epidemiology, anatomy, statistics and instrumentation.
The Army's new Holistic Health and Fitness Program has been inspired by the research work and people trained in our graduate school. I've served as an Army Physical Therapist.
I am interested in helping students in entry-level allied health preparation, graduate students and PhD students. Please reach out and request a session to see if I can assist.

A true tutor
I cannot but recommend Dr Croy for any help in data analysis and biostatistics. His guidance and patience are truly indescribable. In a short time, he was able to understand the essence and the construction of the analysis even though it is complicated medical clinical research. He is very kind and available. I will definitely refer to him for future data analysis and biostatistics.Jeanine, 2 lessons with TheodoreTutor responded:
Thank you for this kind review! Looking forward to helping out in the future!
Very patient and helpful
Dr. Cory is very punctual and professional. I’m very honored to have him help with my analysis request. My audio function broke during the middle of session and he was kind and patient enough to answer my questions through texting in chat function. I only had limited teaching/learning interaction with him due to technical difficulties on my end. However he made extra miles with my little project with comprehensive guidance and providing additional information and resource for me to read on my own. I really appreciated him.Rachel, 2 lessons with Theodore
Great Tutor For Stats and SPSS
Ted was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about SPSS, particularly on how to run and interpret regression results, and how to impute missing data and analyze the results of same. I particularly appreciated how he provides concrete examples and explains concepts in practical terms. I highly recommend Ted!!Mike, 3 lessons with Theodore

Knowledgeable and Patient
Dr. Theodore reviewed my prompt essay of common application. He not only proofread my essay, but also provided excellent comments for how to clarify my points and suggested what are the appropriate words should be. I really appreciate it and would strongly recommend him.Eunice, 4 lessons with TheodoreTutor responded:

Extremely Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor
Dr. Croy helped me with pathological gait where we analyzed a case study together, and picked the proper orthosis. He is extremely knowledgeable with experience as a Professor and Clinician, which is a perfect fit for me while I am a current doctor of physical therapy student. He helped me compare and contrast pathological vs. normal gait and break down each functional task in order to determine the major problems. I will definitely be contacting Dr. Croy in the near future to help me with my studies and I highly recommend you do, too!Ashley, 4 lessons with Theodore
An amazing tutor who is knowledgeable in many areas and knows how to teach well
Dr. Croy advised me on what to do for my supplementary essay for university. His way of teaching is different from others because he used many different examples and analogies to make sure I understood the question that the essay was asking. He adapted to my way of thinking and understood immediately where I wanted to go with this essay. He even provided me with examples on topics I liked (basketball) in order to understand questions relating to the essay. Those types of examples helped me understand the essay even better as it was something I enjoyed listening to; this just goes to show how he is knowledgeable in a multitude of areas. He helped me structure my essay well and helped me understand why these essays should be structured this way. It was also such a pleasure to talk with him as he is a physical therapist and I felt calm and relaxed throughout our whole session. He listens to every detail I mention and doesn't waste any time coming up with advice or a solution to the problem at hand. I will be sure to have more sessions with Dr. Croy in the future as he is certainly an above and beyond tutor.Juan, 2 lessons with Theodore
Very Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor
Dr. Croy is very knowledgeable about the subject of Biostatistics. He is able to break the problem down into bite-sized pieces and put it back together so the student can understand it. As a healthcare provider himself, he is able to translate the problems into everyday examples. Not only is he an excellent tutor, but he is also helpful in encouraging one to become organized and confident in the course, to allow the student to try the problems alone and then reconvene and discuss the statistical output from a program such as SPSS, of which he is an expert. As an older student, Dr. Croy has put me at ease and has encouraged me. He has assured me that I can learn enough Biostatistics to pass this class which is one of the last courses before beginning my final project as a DNP student. He has restored my confidence and I would highly recommend him as a tutor in this difficult subject.Beth, 6 lessons with Theodore
Very Professional and Super Friendly
Dr. Croy was so friendly and nice. He welcomed me into the lesson with a warm smile and remained that way throughout the whole lesson, making it super easy for me to open up with any questions I had as well as motivating me to learn. Dr. Croy was also very professional. He knows his material very well and is able to explain them in a way that is very easy to understand. If he ever taught at my university, I would take his classes in a heartbeat! I highly recommend.Susan, 1 lesson with Theodore
