I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, with anticipated completion in April 2026. My coursework includes literacy instruction, classroom management, assessment and data analysis, educational psychology, exceptional learners, and instructional planning aligned to state standards.

I have served as a fourth-grade classroom teacher in a self-contained setting, teaching all core subjects including math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. In this role, I implemented standards-based instruction, differentiated lessons to meet diverse learner needs, and incorporated formative assessments to guide instruction. I have experience supporting students with IEPs and 504 plans, as well as students requiring academic intervention and enrichment.

In addition to my classroom teaching experience, I have worked as a substitute teacher across multiple elementary grade levels. This experience strengthened my ability to quickly build rapport with students, adapt instruction to varying classroom environments, and maintain structured learning environments.

My teaching approach emphasizes clear modeling, guided practice, real-world application, and gradual release of responsibility. I incorporate differentiated instruction, scaffolded support, and error analysis to help students build confidence and conceptual understanding. I have experience teaching students primarily in upper elementary (3rd–5th grade), both in whole-group classroom settings and small-group instructional formats.

I am confident tutoring in elementary math, reading comprehension, writing development, and social studies, with particular strength in building foundational skills and helping students develop independent problem-solving strategies.
