After completing my year of residency towards my PhD. in Asian and American history, I shifted somewhat to the business world and became enthralled with the food service sector of the business world. I spent a considerable amount of time in this business sector which still allowed me to entwine my interest in teaching with the food business. This was done by becoming a Train the Trainer and a Foundations teacher with responsibility for training new managers. A major focus of my positions was to create an environment and culture of success which assisted new managers in becoming successful in their careers.
My interest in becoming a tutor is to use my history training and communication skills to assist students in the pursuit of their careers. I have continued to fine tune my historical knowledge over the years since my college experience and now, with the additional training I received in the business world, I look forward to the opportunity to work with young adults in preparing them for their excursions into history.
