👋 Hi, I’m Sia, a native Korean tutor based in Texas. Starting Korean can feel overwhelming, and knowing vocabulary doesn’t always make conversation easy. I help adult beginners and intermediate learners build practical Korean they can use with confidence in everyday life.

👋 Hi, I’m Sia, a native Korean tutor based in Texas. Starting Korean can feel overwhelming, and knowing vocabulary doesn’t always make conversation easy. I help adult beginners and intermediate learners build practical Korean they can use with confidence in everyday life.
📚 I create my own lesson materials and adapt them to your level, goals, and interests. You’ll also have a personal learning page to keep your materials organized and easily review what we’ve covered.
🗣️ We’ll practice through real-life situations, such as introducing yourself, making plans with friends, or talking about your weekend. I’ll explain grammar and useful expressions clearly, then help you use them in your own conversations. You’ll receive feedback on pronunciation, wording, and politeness, and we’ll revisit useful expressions in different situations so they become more natural.
Most lessons are conducted in Korean at a level that matches your ability, with English explanations available when needed.
🎬 If K-dramas, music, or Korean culture sparked your interest in Korean, we can bring those interests into class and explore expressions you’ve heard in context.
🎓 I’m currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language and expect to graduate next year. Upon graduation, I will receive a Korean Language Teacher Certification. I have also completed Korean language teacher training at Yonsei University and use the King Sejong Institute curriculum as a reference when creating my materials.
Tell me what you’d love to be able to do in Korean, and we’ll work toward it together!
