Based on my academic and professional background, I am well-qualified to tutor in subjects such as sociology, public administration, homeland security, emergency management, and related areas in the social sciences. I hold both a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master of Public Service and Administration with a Homeland Security Certificate from Texas A&M University. These programs involved extensive coursework in areas such as economic analysis, public policy formation, program evaluation, public finance, domestic intelligence operations, and emergency management. I graduated in May 2025 with a 4.0 GPA in my graduate-level courses during my final year, demonstrating both mastery and commitment to these fields.

In terms of teaching experience, I’ve worked in various educational and mentorship roles over the past several years. I served as a substitute teacher and held multiple assistant roles at Texas A&M University, including working in academic advising and for the campus police department. I’ve also tutored peers and younger students informally in writing, government, and research skills. Additionally, I volunteer as a public educator for a service dog nonprofit, where I regularly explain complex training principles to diverse audiences. Whether working one-on-one or with small groups, I focus on meeting students where they are, using tailored approaches and real-world examples to make abstract concepts relatable and easier to understand. My style is patient, encouraging, and rooted in a genuine passion for helping others succeed academically and professionally.

Approved Subjects

Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice

I hold a Master’s degree in Public Service and Administration with a certificate in Homeland Security, where I completed advanced coursework in criminal investigations, domestic intelligence, and public safety policy. My professional experience includes an internship with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Texas A&M University Police Department, where I assisted with active cases and participated in law enforcement training. I have also worked directly with police leadership and supported case research and administrative operations. My academic and hands-on experience allow me to explain criminal justice concepts clearly and apply them to real-world contexts.
Oboe

Oboe

I played the oboe from 6th through 12th grade, gaining seven years of experience in both solo and ensemble settings. During that time, I participated in school bands, region band competitions, and various performances, consistently refining my tone, technique, and musicality. I’m familiar with common challenges beginner and intermediate players face, including reed care, breath control, and intonation. I enjoy helping others develop confidence and skill on this unique and rewarding instrument.
Sociology

Sociology

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Texas A&M University, where I completed advanced coursework in criminology, social theory, research methods, and social problems. My academic work emphasized both qualitative and quantitative research, including a capstone in applied social analysis. I’ve supported peers in understanding complex sociological concepts and strengthening their writing and critical thinking skills. With hands-on experience in both academic and real-world applications of sociology, I enjoy helping students connect theory to current social issues.
