Hi! My name is Shelby. I graduated Magna Cum Laude at Texas Tech University with a degree in Microbiology and a dual minor in Chemistry and Health Professions. I am currently pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant so I can relate to the pressure of STEM classes and how difficult they can be.
During my undergraduate coursework, I achieved an A in Anatomy and Physiology I & II, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Virology, and many other difficult courses in the microbiology field such as Immunology.
I have a love for Organic chemistry. During my time in undergrad I was a supplemental instructor for Ochem at TTU for over two years. I led group tutoring sessions and test reviews for around 40-100 students each session. My reviews from students have been overwhelmingly positive and I have made it easier for many of them to get an A in the class. I am very confident in my skills to help students succeed in this class and other subjects in the science field.
While I have taught organic chemistry in a group setting, I have also tutored students in private settings as well. I have given advice to many of my students when it comes to future careers and helped many strive to forward their academics.
I am very passionate about science courses and want you to succeed in your academic career!
