Bio

I'm an educational consultant and essay reviewer for a consortium of independent educational consultants. I help students take their essays to the next level to ensure their college admissions as well as help with college searches, career decisions, and academic resumes.
I have a BFA in theater and taught English from 6th grade to 12th grade for over 15 years. I help students improve their vocabulary, writing, editing, revising, and public speaking.

I have a BFA in acting which gives me the knowledge to coach students competing for UIL and adults that are needing help at speaking events. I help them block out their hand and body motions, get rid of extraneous distracting movements, and convey confidence. Sincerity in speech is key to success.

STAAR

I taught the STAAR standards for years in 7th grade and then again in 10th grade. I devised several methods for dissection of the questions and understanding the way the STAAR formulates its questions as well as the essay answers. These methods helped many of my students to excel on the STAAR test in both grades. They can be applied in any situation because the test does follow a specific and trackable pattern.

I have a BFA in acting which gives me the knowledge to help students or adults with any of their acting or directing needs. I have directed many productions that were very successful as well. I am particularly good at helping any actor merge the inorganic blocking with the organic thought that needs to occur to make their character believable.
