My teaching philosophy is to make learning fun! I love building relationships with my students and challenging myself to find ways to reach them through their interests and particular learning style. I feel very confident that my unique and genuine philosophy allows me to create a great foundation with my students so they feel comfortable and learn the ability to take ownership in their learning as well.
In addition, I believe communication is important. I love to communicate with families about their child's progress and learning stages. I love math and all the various ways to solve problems! There is so much room to explore various learning styles in math! I have tutored and/or taught math for over 10 years in various grade levels PK-8th grade. I am a certified teacher and also have over 10 years experience setting students up for success with Math STAAR! I love reading and all the components that come with it. I specialize in the four parts of reading: accuracy, speed/fluency, expression, and comprehension. I love building confidence and growth in readers so that students become good readers that coordinate all four parts. I have tutored and/or taught reading in various grade levels PK-8.
