My name is Hyejeong, and I am a native Korean speaker, a certified Korean language teacher, and a college Korean instructor with over 29 years of teaching experience in Korea and the United States.
For the past 13 years, I have been teaching Korean at American colleges, including The University of Texas at Dallas and Dallas College. Before moving to the United States, I taught Korean Language and Literature at a high school in Korea for six years. I have also taught at a Korean language school in the Dallas area for more than 10 years.
I hold a Master's degree in Korean Language Education and am a Certified Korean Language Teacher. Throughout my career, I have taught students of all ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners to college students and heritage learners.
If you are taking a college Korean course and want to improve your grades, prepare for quizzes and exams, strengthen your grammar, or gain confidence in speaking Korean, I can help.
As a university instructor, I understand exactly where students struggle because I teach Beginning Korean every semester. I know how to explain Korean grammar clearly in English and help students build a strong foundation in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
I also welcome students who are learning Korean for personal enrichment, travel, work, or family. Every lesson is personalized to your goals, learning style, and pace.
My teaching style is patient, organized, and encouraging. I believe learning a language should be enjoyable while also giving students the confidence to use Korean in real-life situations.
I would be honored to help you achieve your Korean language goals, and I look forward to meeting you soon!
