I bring 13 years of educational experience to the table. I spent ten years as a Special Education Support Specialist. Then I escaped the classroom, but not the students as I spent a year as an administrative assistant. This fall I will begin my third year as a Spanish 1 teacher in a highly innovative district. Personally, I have really enjoyed working with 9th-grade students, assisting them individually in closing their gaps in understanding Spanish. My experience has helped me in planning lessons that create an engaging environment, answering multiple learning styles.
I believe in making language learning fun and interactive. I focus on building real-world connections with the inclusion of culture in the curriculum. I am open to new ideas at any time and always tailor my approach towards the needs of the particular student.
