Coupled with my experience, I feel that bring quite a bit to the proverbial table.
I began tutoring and teaching in Monterrey, Mexico back in 2003 and have been involved in education at every level since then. I have worked as a tutor for young people, college students, business professionals, etc. I have taught primarily adult, non-traditional students, but also have worked with middle schoolers as an ESL paraprofessional. I love grammar, proofreading and teaching the skill of writing for the academic and nonacademic setting, as I am also a writer of fiction and poetry.
What I enjoy about tutoring is the fact that unlike a typical classroom setting, I am able to cater to the exact needs of the student. To see a student succeed in their goals based on my teaching is the biggest reward of all! I also have learned so much from my students, particularly my ESL students as they have been from all over the world. Learning and teaching is a continuous process and by being a tutor I am able to do both. I can see no greater reward for myself or my students.
