My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree, and while my degree is not in education, my passion for working with young learners led me to the classroom, where I spent several years teaching second grade. During that time, I developed a strong foundation in early childhood instruction, including phonics, early literacy, foundational math, and age-appropriate classroom management.
I am familiar with the challenges students at the K–6 level commonly face and know how to break concepts down in ways that are accessible and engaging for young learners.
I am also a native Spanish speaker who grew up speaking the language at home, giving me a natural, conversational fluency that goes beyond academic knowledge. I am comfortable tutoring Spanish at a beginner to intermediate level and can work with young students or adults looking to build everyday conversational skills. My bilingual background also allows me to support English Language Learners who may feel more comfortable receiving initial instruction in Spanish before transitioning to English.
