I am a fourth-year medical student at Texas A&M College of Medicine who understands what it’s like to feel stuck while preparing for high-stakes exams—and how to move forward with a clear plan. I scored a 512 on the MCAT, passed USMLE Step 1 on my first attempt, and recently completed Step 2. During medical school, I have performed consistently well on standardized exams.
I’ve been teaching for several years, beginning as a biology teaching assistant for three years in college and tutoring biology and biochemistry through my university’s science department. I have also worked one-on-one with MCAT students, helping them improve both content mastery and test strategy—one of whom went on to score a 521.
My tutoring focuses on two main things: building a realistic, personalized study plan and helping you truly understand how to apply concepts to questions. I especially enjoy teaching test strategy, breaking down complex physiology and pathophysiology, and helping students learn how to interpret questions and think through passages with confidence.
As someone who didn’t start out as a top scorer but learned how to become competitive, I especially enjoy working with students who feel stuck or are aiming to make a significant jump in their scores. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment while equipping you with the tools and confidence needed to succeed—whether that means becoming competitive for medical school or passing Step 1.
