Hello! My name is Anna. I graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and from the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) with a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. My time studying at these universities has taught me that the best approach to mastering complex material is to break it down into simple steps and practice, practice, practice! My tutoring approach is to learn where you stand with the subject and build upon what you already know. I prioritize solidifying your foundational knowledge and helping you apply it to practice problems that I customize according to your needs. The goal is that you come out of each session with a toolkit of techniques that can be applied to any new problems you see.

In high school, I tutored in Algebra in a one-on-one setting. I used content shown during class as a baseline and expanded on what we learned with custom problems to identify areas where the student felt comfortable or needed clarification. At Harvard, I worked as an undergraduate course assistant for 1 year in a computing hardware course and would assist students in small groups with homework and course content. At UT Austin, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant for 1.5 years in courses covering circuit theory, digital signal processing, and probability. I taught recitations, made homework assignments, and provided feedback to all students. Each class consisted of over 40 students, so I often hosted office hours in large group settings while offering additional one-on-one office hours by request. My individual sessions allowed me to get to know each student and modify my teaching approach accordingly.
