I was born a raised in Guatemala, I got a college degree in Economics in Guatemala city. Later I married an American citizen in Guatemala, who was working for the Peace Corp. Extreme violence, forced us to move to USA, where I got certified to teach at the secondary level. I taught, Math for 10 years, Spanish for five years and Economics for five years. During that time I got a Master's in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentration in Spanish at the University of Texas in Brownsville and due to a perfect score in all the subjects during the career I received recognition of scholastic achievement and excellence, by The National Scholar Honor Society in 2007. I retired from teaching due to health problems, and now I substitute teach in the Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District. I have done private Spanish tutoring in the last four years.
