I am a first generation teacher in my family and I have been tutoring students for more than a year.

I specialize in elementary studies but I can definitely also teach adults depending on the need. I have graduated as a certified Bilingual Teacher and I am a 5th grade teacher so excited for the new school year! I am looking forward to have a classroom that makes everyone feel included and loved. I graduated with the highest honors in UTRGV as Summa Cum Laude and can proudly say that, as opposed to most my classmates, I was able to complete my certification exams before graduation date, which is what got my job for me starting August. I focused on blended learning ensuring to include technology in my students’ learning and focused on 4-5 students at a time which were placed in different levels of learning to help differentiate my teaching for them. Because of my differentiation expertise, I was recommended by the principal I was doing my internship, Step-Up, at to my current principal that hired me after being interviewed along with 4-5 of my peers. I am certified as an EC-6 Bilingual teacher in Texas. I was part of the Step-Up program that allowed a year long internship that has provided so much experience to learn about differentiation learning and ensuring to also use data to differentiate each child’s teaching. I got certified May 09, 2024 however I do believe that I am equipped to be tutoring students between the ages of 5-12 as my internship allowed for me to work with students from different grade levels that qualifies me to tutor students between K-6.

In my sessions, students learn how to organize their thoughts, write strong sentences, and add details that make their ideas shine. We focus on grammar, spelling, and structure — but also on having fun and finding their own writing voice. Whether your child is writing a paragraph, an essay, or a story, I provide patient, step-by-step guidance that helps them grow as a writer. My goal is for every student to feel proud of their progress and excited to write more!
