In math, I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorizing procedures. I break down multi-step problems into manageable parts and adjust my explanations based on each student’s learning style. I have experience assisting elementary and middle school students with topics including fractions, decimals, word problems, pre-algebra concepts, and homework support. My approach emphasizes understanding the “why” behind the process so students can apply what they learn independently.
In piano, I work primarily with beginner students and focus on building strong foundations in note recognition, scales, hand positioning, and musical expression. I believe in combining structure with encouragement so students develop both discipline and enjoyment in music. Lessons are paced according to the student’s age and experience level, and I incorporate repetition, guided practice, and goal-setting to promote steady progress.
My teaching experience includes one-on-one academic support and guided instruction in both structured and informal settings. I have worked with school-aged children in individualized learning environments, helping them improve comprehension, organization, and study habits. I strive to create a calm, supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges.
