Hello, my name is Amy and I have been a nurse for twenty-four years. I have my BSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and I have my MSN in Nursing Education. I have experience in multiple areas of nursing. At the bedside, I have experience in Adult Medical/Surgical nursing, Women Services, Telemetry/Progressive Care and Critical Care. Throughout my nursing career I have always precepted and mentored new nurses to their job role and have always mentored nursing students during their clinical rotations. In my current position, I specifically train and prepare nurses to their new job role.
I love teaching and educating others; therefore, I went back to school to obtain my MSN with an emphasis on education so that I would be qualified for nursing instructor positions for nursing programs as well. I love sharing with others my knowledge and experiences in the nursing profession in order to help others. I love helping others gain confidence in their knowledge and skills. I enjoy seeing those I help succeed. That is my number one goal, to help anyone who may be struggling or just need some extra support to conquer any educational difficulties.
I have years of experience as a nurse is multiple areas of nursing. I am patient, a great listener and a good communicator. In association with my years of experience as a nurse, during all my years I have always trained and mentored new nurses or nursing students with success. I hold an MSN in Nursing Education and currently train other nurses how to perform in their current job role.
