Growing your abilities in ELA+R doesn't have to be drudgery, and these subjects can provide joy and open up a world of possibilities for students. My goal is to excite students to explore life through reading and the language arts; there is not much better for me that witnessing the "Aha!" moments when a learner "gets it" and begins experiencing successes like never before.
My most profound joy as a teacher, however, is teaching students to read and learn from the Word of God. Whether it is reading it for themselves, analyzing theology and tradition through scripture, or even learning to teach the Word of God, it is my primary calling to teach people to learn and follow Jesus with a growing understanding of Him and His Word.
