If your student is between the ages of 11 and 14 and preparing for the middle or upper levels of the SHSAT, ISEE, SSAT, or HSPT, you’ve come to the right place. I help students walk into exam day calm, confident, and ready through focused English prep that builds both skill and composure.
Students are welcome to bring a friend or classmate to learn together in a small-group setting (2–4 students at similar levels), or to work one on one for individualized focus. During live, timed sessions, they learn to read closely, decode vocabulary through context, identify thesis statements, and manage time wisely. These strategies become second nature through guided repetition and calm support.
As both a parent and a tutor, I understand how one child’s struggle can affect the whole family. One parent put it best: “I simply can’t make him listen to me, so I hope he listens to you.” That is common, and exactly where I can help.
I’m a certified English teacher with a BA, a TEFL/TESOL teaching certificate, and over ten years of experience specializing in test prep. Most students feel more grounded after one or two sessions and improve 5–15 points per section with steady practice.
