I’m an experienced tutor with over two years of working with students ages 14 to 17, including leading SAT bootcamps through Schoolhouse, one of the largest peer-led tutoring platforms. Through these sessions, I’ve worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds and skill levels, helping them improve their test scores while also building confidence in their abilities. As someone who has recently gone through the standardized testing process myself and will be attending Southern Methodist University, I understand both the academic challenges students face and the strategies that actually work on today’s exams.
One thing I’ve learned is that students don’t struggle because they aren’t capable — they struggle because the material isn’t always taught in a way that makes sense to them. That’s where I come in. My approach focuses on breaking down complex problems into clear, repeatable steps and helping students recognize patterns that show up consistently on tests like the SAT and ACT. I don’t just review content; I teach students how to think through problems efficiently, manage time under pressure, and avoid common mistakes that cost points.
I’ve worked in both one-on-one and group settings, and I always tailor my sessions to each student’s specific needs. Some students need to build a stronger foundation, while others are aiming for top percentile scores and need more advanced strategies. In every case, I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. My goal is not just to help students improve their scores, but to give them the confidence and independence to succeed on their own.
