Hi! I’m an experienced elementary teacher in my 6th year of teaching, with a background in special education and reading intervention. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas (UNT) and currently work as a resource teacher, providing small-group and one-on-one instruction—very similar to the tutoring model.
I specialize in helping students who struggle with phonics, decoding, fluency, and reading confidence, including students with dyslexia and other reading disabilities. My instruction is structured, supportive, and individualized, and is grounded in the Science of Reading and evidence-based literacy practices.
I tailor each session to the needs of the student, focusing on clear instruction, consistent practice, and building confidence. My goal is to help students make meaningful progress while keeping learning positive and engaging.
I’m happy to answer questions and work with families to create a tutoring plan that supports their child’s success.
