I am an experienced science educator with 19 years of teaching experience in Earth Science, Biology, Environmental Science, and related subjects at the secondary level. I am certified in Earth Space Science and hold a doctorate in Instructional Design and Distance Education, which allows me to combine strong content expertise with effective, research-based instructional practices. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse learners across a wide range of academic levels, including students who need foundational support as well as those enrolled in advanced coursework. My content knowledge includes geology, weather and climate systems, plate tectonics, ecology, and Earth–Sun–Moon relationships, and I specialize in explaining complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible way.

As a tutor, I take a student-centered and supportive approach focused on building understanding, confidence, and independence. I assess each student’s strengths and areas for growth and tailor instruction to meet their specific goals, whether that involves improving grades, preparing for exams, or strengthening scientific reasoning skills.
