As a current nursing student at Western Governors University, working toward my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an expected graduation date of May 2027, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world medical experience to the table. As a current nursing student at Western Governors University, working toward my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an expected graduation date of May 2027, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world medical experience to the table. I also hold an active EMT license (exp. 11/2026) and AHA CPR/BLS certification (exp. 03/2027), and I’ve worked as an EMT for Acadian and National Care EMS. In addition, I currently serve as Assistant Manager at an assisted living facility, giving me hands-on experience with patient care, communication, and healthcare systems.
My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and practical. I like to break down complex medical or scientific concepts into everyday language, using real examples from my work in emergency care and senior living to make the material stick. Whether we’re reviewing anatomy, medical terminology, pharmacology, or patient care fundamentals, I tailor each session to fit the student’s goals, learning style, and pace.
I have experience helping classmates, CNA students, and new hires with study prep and skill practice, especially when it comes to clinical scenarios, test strategies, and understanding how to apply book knowledge to real-life patient care. Most of my teaching has been one-on-one, either in a peer-mentoring context or in a workplace training setting, but I’m comfortable working with students of all ages and education levels.
If you’re looking for someone who’s been in the field, is currently studying in the healthcare system, and truly loves helping others learn, I’d love to help you succeed!
