Hey, how’s it going? My name is Dylan! I’m 25 years old, and I currently work at a polyethylene plant as a process engineer. I’ve been in the industry for going on 4 years now, with my career beginning with internships that I did in college. I graduated from Lamar University in 2022 with a Bachelors of science in Chemical Engineering, while minoring in chemistry and mathematics. Some of the subjects that I’m proficient in include General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Cal1&2, and several of the chemical engineering specific courses. While I was in college, I enjoyed tutoring my fellow classmates on various subjects that I felt I was knowledgeable in. I always felt like if I can teach it, then I was ready for my test! My method of teaching was working through the problem or prompt in a way that encourages the person that I’m tutoring to think through what they’ve learned. I tend to give tips or hints when necessary, but I typically do stay away from giving out the answers. I also am not afraid to admit when I’m wrong or if I’ve made a mistake. I’m only human, so it’s bound to happen, right? I hope to be able to help you expand your knowledge as much as possible!
