Hi there! I’m Dylan, and I’m excited to help you succeed. I recently graduated in 2024 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Computer Science from UT Austin. My love for STEM blossomed in high school through AP courses like Chemistry, Physics C, and Calculus BC, not just because of the material, but because of the incredible teachers who made these challenging topics approachable and engaging. They showed me the power of making students feel supported and curious, and that’s the spirit I bring to every tutoring session.
I’ve been tutoring for over eight years, starting informally with friends in high school and continuing throughout college. I’ve worked one-on-one and in group settings, whether casually helping classmates or, more formally, serving as a Teaching Assistant for Transport Phenomena (Heat, Mass, and Momentum Transfer) at UT. Over the past year, I’ve discovered just how fulfilling it is to guide students not only through engineering concepts but also through math and problem-solving strategies. I especially enjoy helping students reach those rewarding “aha!” moments where everything clicks.
I’m committed to making learning approachable and effective. I use clear explanations, tailored examples (I typically try to come prepared with a few examples to work on together or supervised), and a collaborative style, always welcoming feedback and adjusting to what works best for each student. If you have questions about my background, tutoring approach, or how we can work together, please feel free to reach out; I’m always happy to chat and help you get started on your learning journey!
