Hello! I'm Elizabeth, and I'm excited to work with you. I graduated in December of 2022 with a BA in Cross-cultural Service, and I am currently in graduate school studying translation. My High School English scores exempted me from taking General Education English in college, and I have studied college-level research writing for my degree. I love English, and I have tutored Writing, English, and Grammar to students ranging from new middle school students to college sophomores. Before tutoring with Wyzant, I offered free, informal tutoring sessions to my siblings and struggling classmates. My students report increased confidence in their writing abilities, better theoretical comprehension, and improved grades. My objective is to work myself out of a job, so I strive to provide students with the theoretical framework and practical tools they need to complete any assignment.

I ask that students send me their assignments ~24 hours before the tutoring session so that I can assess the student's needs. During a session, we will work through the assignment together. We might spend a session brainstorming ideas, having a mini-lecture on theory, clarifying existing content, or practicing editing and proofreading. Every student learns differently, so I try to tailor my instruction to the student's learning style. Consequently, students can expect a customized experience designed to enable them succeed.

I am always happy to answer questions and receive constructive criticism. Since I am currently a student myself, last-minute scheduling and cancellations are difficult for me to work around. The earlier you can contact me, the more likely I am to be able to fully accommodate your schedule and needs.
