I have over six years of tutoring experience at elementary, middle school, high school and college level. I tutor a variety of math, English, and science subjects. I specialize in test prep and college admissions counseling, helping students raise their SAT scores 100+ points, ACT scores 4+ points, along with prep work on many other standardized tests and AP tests.

I specialize in test prep and college admissions counseling, helping students raise their SAT scores 100+ points, ACT scores 4+ points, along with prep work on many other standardized tests and AP tests.

I have worked as an independent college councilor for the past 5 years. I have helped many students through the college application process, from scheduling and taking standardized tests to writing strong college essays and submitting their completed applications. I have helped students gain admission to many top schools including University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Rice University, and Stanford University.

I truly believe that academic learning and test prep is no different than learning to ride a bike, play an instrument, or master a new skill. Learning, no matter what it may be, requires time, effort, and engagement. My tutoring philosophy revolves around creating custom study plans to keep students engaged and build confidence by providing guidance and feedback in sessions, and of course explaining difficult concepts.

First session went great

We just had our first session with Emma. She focuses on the SAT and also does college counseling. She gave me daughter some good tips on how to strengthen her college application. We're still early to prepare for the SAT so that will come later. Looking forward to more sessions with her.
