Hello! My name is Natalie R., I am a fourth-year medical student at Dell Medical School with a biology BSA degree from University of Texas at Austin and an MPH from UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. My career goals are to become a child and adolescent psychiatrist. I am actually in the process of interviewing for a psychiatry residency, which I'd be more than happy to answer any questions about!

A little more about me, I love drawing, painting, sewing, and yoga. I try to do my best in every aspect of my personal and professional life which means that when I may not know the answer, I will do my best to find it for you and help you achieve the level of success you are aiming for.

My undergraduate degree is in Biology which has required me to take math, science, and biology classes such as algebra 1 & 2, chemistry 1 & 2, biology 1 & 2, biostatistics, organic chemistry 1 & 2, biochemistry, and more. My master's degree gave me a strong foundation in biostatistics, qualitative research, and quantitative research (specifically in suicide prevention). My MD degree (will graduate in May 2027) has exposed me to many types of medicine including but not limited to neurology, internal medicine, ob/gyn, surgery, emergency medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, and primary care such as family medicine.

I also have a lot of experience writing college essays and completing applications for professional schools so I'm also able to proofread materials and assist you in writing.

Anatomy

I hold a BSA in Biology with honors and a Master of Public Health, and I am completing my final year at Dell Medical School. My medical coursework and clinical rotations have given me a strong foundation in human anatomy and its relationship to organ function and disease. I can help students understand anatomical structures, spatial relationships, and how different body systems connect. My approach uses clear explanations and clinical examples to make complex material easier to understand and remember.
Biology

Biology

I completed advanced and introductory coursework at the undergraduate level at The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with honors. I did biology research throughout college at the cellular level and I now focus my studies in medicine which relies heavily on biology and chemistry to understand.
Career Development

Career Development

I am a fourth-year medical student and MPH graduate with experience mentoring and advising students across multiple stages of medical and health-professions training. I have supported learners with career exploration, academic and professional goal-setting, CV development, personal statements, medical school applications, and navigating decisions related to clinical training and specialty selection. My own experience spans clinical medicine, public health, research, mentorship, and the residency application process, allowing me to provide practical guidance on building a cohesive medical career path. I tailor my approach to each learner’s stage, whether they are exploring medicine, applying to professional school, progressing through medical training, or preparing for the next step in their career.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I hold a BSA in Biology with honors and a Master of Public Health, and I am completing my final year at Dell Medical School. My biology education and medical training have provided a strong foundation in chemistry and biochemistry, including their applications to human health. I can help students with topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, solutions, and acid-base chemistry. My approach emphasizes clear explanations and step-by-step problem solving to help students understand the reasoning behind each calculation.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

I hold a BSA in Biology with honors and a Master of Public Health, and I am completing my final year at Dell Medical School. Whether working on a class essay or a personal statement, my goal is to help students communicate effectively while preserving their individual voice.
MCAT

MCAT

I earned a BSA in Biology with honors and am currently a fourth-year medical student at Dell Medical School. Through mentoring premedical students, I have provided guidance on MCAT preparation, study skills, and organizing the medical school application process. My academic background is particularly relevant to the biological and behavioral science concepts students encounter during MCAT preparation. I can help students develop structured study plans, identify content gaps, and work through practice passages with attention to the reasoning behind each answer. My goal is to help students connect scientific concepts and develop a consistent approach to reviewing their mistakes.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I have mentored premedical students through the medical school application process, including brainstorming personal statements, reviewing drafts, and providing feedback on clarity and organization. My mentoring has included longitudinal relationships with students who subsequently enrolled at UCLA and Baylor College of Medicine. As a fourth-year medical student with a Master of Public Health, I bring experience communicating academic, clinical, research, and service experiences to admissions audiences. I help applicants identify meaningful examples, connect their experiences to their motivations, and revise their writing while preserving their individual voice. My support includes feedback on structure, reflection, transitions, grammar, and concision, with the applicant remaining the author of the statement.
Physiology

Physiology

I hold a BSA in Biology with honors and a Master of Public Health, and I am currently completing my final year of medical school at Dell Medical School. My education and clinical training have given me a strong foundation in human physiology, including how organ systems function, interact, and respond to disease. I bring a clinical perspective to tutoring, helping students connect complex concepts to practical examples and build a deeper understanding beyond memorization.

Such a great tutor!

Nathalie is a goat. Her experience in med school honestly helped apply so much to my MCAT physics practice so well. She showed me how to approach the problem with a neat process that helps me avoid getting into the weeds and getting overwhelmed with the math. I highly recommend her!!
