I am a software engineer in the Austin area with over 7 years of tutoring experience in an array of subjects, specializing in English, Math, Computer Science, and test preparation. As a National Merit Scholar (top 99% of PSAT and SAT takers), teaching and research assistant at Colorado State University and Carnegie Mellon University, writing tutor, Girls Who Code instructor, and Boettcher Scholar (most competitive scholarship given to top 42 students in Colorado), I have a plethora of teaching and academic experience. Throughout high school and college, I have served as a tutor for students in grades 1-12 each year, and I love to see students deeply understand the subject matter and improve their success.
I am currently open for online or Austin area tutoring in standardized test preparation, college and scholarship applications, elementary, middle and high school teaching, as well as college-level computer science and mathematics. Please feel free to contact me, as I would love to help you or your student succeed!
In college, I majored in computer science and minored in mathematics, and completed up to AP Calculus BC while still in high school, receiving a 5 on the test. During college, I have also taken upper division mathematics courses, such as Linear Algebra.
I am a National Merit Scholar, which means I am in the top 99% of PSAT and SAT test takers nation-wide. I am also well-versed in applying for this scholarship, and I am open to walking high school students through the studying and process to earn the scholarship.
I have also served as a reading and writing tutor for ages 6-18 since high school. I have always received perfect scores on ACT (36), SAT (800), and AP English (5) exams, and I love to help students work through reading comprehension, grammar, and understanding literature.
As a software engineer, I am well-versed in object-oriented programming, computer science principles, and human-centered design. I have worked broadly in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and software development
