I have had the standard elementary math courses with an emphasis on the use of manipulatives, and allowing students to use techniques that work for them as long as they get the correct answer.
Standard English courses taken along with Reading course work which included a semester of Reading specific course work with role play, and actual student interaction.
I am patient and kind. I know how to speak to children in such a way that I can make the learning experience fun. Till this very day I hear from students and their parents about how much they enjoyed having me as a teacher.
