Hello! My name is Christina, and I am passionate about education, especially for language learning. I have been working with students for over three years now. I taught three English classes (ESL) at a university for a year and have tutored athletes one-on-one at Texas Athletics for over two years now. At the University of Texas, I mostly tutor Spanish, Italian, and writing. I have studied Spanish for 11 years, Italian for 7, and Hindi for 3. I am fluent in Spanish and Italian and working towards fluency in Hindi.
I studied Latin and Ancient Greek in college, so I understand how to break down large language concepts and explain grammar well (Classics makes you identify and explain Latin and Greek grammatical concepts in every language class). In my sessions, I enjoy using real-world examples of language from songs to help students to practice their grammar and learn new words.
Here's a bit about my background:
I graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a B.A. in Art History and Classical Civilization with minors in Spanish, Italian Studies, and Medieval Studies. After that, I taught English for a year in Laos. I recently graduated with my M.A. in Asian Studies in May of 2026 from the University of Texas at Austin. As part of my Masters Program, I went to Jaipur, India and took Intermediate Hindi. I specialized in South Asia and graduated with a proficiency in Advanced Hindi.
