Hi, my name is Candace. For over 13 years, I've helped students overcome academic challenges, build confidence, and achieve goals they never thought possible. As a former high school mathematics teacher, department chair, and assistant principal, I've worked with students at every skill level—from those who struggle with math anxiety to high achievers preparing for advanced courses and college.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas and my Master's in Educational Leadership from Texas State University. My experience in both the classroom and school leadership has given me a unique understanding of how students learn, where they get stuck, and how to help them succeed.
I believe very student can learn with the right support. I tailor each tutoring session to the individual student's learning style, pace, and goals. Rather than having students memorize procedures, I help them truly understand concepts so they become independent, confident problem-solvers. I'm patient, encouraging, and invested in each student's success. I create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing from them.
I offer support in middle school and high school mathematics, homework help, test preparation, and study skills. I am very communicative and responsive so please reach out with any questions you may have for me. I look forward to partnering with your family and helping your student discover that success in math is absolutely within reach.
