I bring a strong academic foundation and meaningful teaching experience that allows me to meet students where they are and guide them toward lasting confidence and success. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, as well as a Master of Science in Biological Sciences. I currently serve as an adjunct instructor teaching Anatomy and Physiology at the college level, where I help students navigate complex material in a way that is clear, engaging, and applicable. My background also includes hands on laboratory and scientific experience, which allows me to connect textbook concepts to real world situations, making learning more practical and easier to understand.
Over the past several years, I have worked with a wide range of students, including elementary learners developing foundational math skills and high school and college students studying Algebra I and II, Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology. My teaching approach is highly personalized. I take the time to understand each student’s learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement, then tailor each session to meet those needs. My focus is not just on helping students complete assignments, but on ensuring they truly understand the material and can apply it independently.
I create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and actively engaging in the learning process, while also holding them accountable to their academic goals. I have experience working in one on one and group settings, as well as both virtual and in person environments, which allows me to adapt to different learning styles and preferences. Many of my students have seen measurable improvements in their grades, confidence, and study habits. My goal is to help each student become a more independent and motivated learner, equipped with the skills they need to succeed beyond our sessions.
